During the fasting month of Ramadan, a drink of coconut water is something most sought to break their fast. Besides refreshing coconut water is a natural isotonic beverage.
According to Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), young coconut water can be used as a natural energy supplement drinks. This is because coconut water is rich in potassium, sugar, and protein. Naturally, young coconut water has a mineral composition and sugar which is perfect, so similar to human body fluids.
Unlike artificial isotonic drinks where dangerous if taken carelessly, coconut water is relatively safe for consumption.
